It's that time of year, when the medical profession want to use me as target practice. In other words, it's annual vaccination time. Yesterday I had a flu injection. Tomorrow it will be the covid one and, as all good things come in threes, I'm getting part 2 of my shingles vaccination in a few weeks' time. I'd better not drink any fluids or I'll look like this....
A good test for your immune system then!
ReplyDeleteI had my flu injection on Friday and am feeling a little groggy now. Perhaps I wasn't totally recovered from my holiday cold.
Yes, it may be that your immune system was already low from the cold.
DeleteI'm about to book flu+covid, I've been getting both together (one in each arm) ever since the first covid one, and that's gone well so far...
ReplyDeleteThey used to do both together here, but now the GPs just do the flu one and tou have to go to a chemist to get the covid one.
DeleteI am not sure how old you are now Addy but I imagine that you have qualified for the COVID booster because of your age. However, being a young lad of almost 72 I do not qualify for that booster! It's not fair!
ReplyDeleteI am 75 next month so only just qualify, as you have to be 75 by January 2026. I didn't realise you are still a nipper by comparison.
ReplyDeleteI get both on Tuesday. Shingles was last year.
ReplyDeleteThese vaccinations seem nationwide this week.
