A Right Royal Celebration

Prince William and Kate Middleton have chosen a fine day to get married next year. The 29th April 2011 would have been Greg's 62nd birthday, if he were still alive. I wonder if he'll be watching from his cloud with a raised glass of whisky to celebrate both occasions?

Do you really think he'll be on a cloud? Hmmm - let me think. Well - you did say he was a good man - just a lost man. So he probably will Addy.

I bet it would probably be an extremely good vintage up there whatever he was drinking.

A bittersweet day for you Addy. Take care. xx

Oh Addy I echo flowerpots sentiment. I hope that in heaven there is no alchohol or if there is its a sweet nectar with none of the devastating effects it had on Greg or his loved ones. So with that in mind I will raise my glass on this day and think of you, mindful that the joint celebration, Birthday & Wedding, would have been able to be shared together had not Greg been taken from this world too young by the demon drink. A bittersweet reminder. I only hope you get to have a relaxing day and that the hype will not bring forth too many mixed emotions.

Please accept a virtual hug.

My situation is a bit different from yours as you well notice in the blog. But, the bottom line is the same. Thank you for sharing your experience. It helps to hear how others cope.

Hmmm, shall I be cynical and say any excuse to have a drink?! But this time it's a good cause :)
